Hercules has updated drivers for the KyroII chipset here (http://us.hercules.com/support/link_drivers.php3?prodid=12&c=0&p=4).
They are 1.5.15.84 The one XP installs(ed) by default is 1.5.15.20.
And me not realizing this just had the older version untill recently.
I was quite suprized by the differance having not expected much from the Prophet 4500.
There is a huge performance increase in the new drivers. My frame rate went up at least 10-15fps. And in some demos I hit up to 125fps. I can now force 4x anti-aliasing withought running into problems and the shading/bumpmapping was much improved overall.
There are still a few slight draw problems with the line-of-sight style that this card uses but 90% of that has been fixed as well.
It has turned a medeocre card into one that will hang closely with a GF3 and just blows GF2ti's out of the water. I'm much impressed I must say.
BTW, this card dosen't like to run at 16bit color very well, and I was recomended by Hercules to run it at 32bit all the time. All of my tests were done at 1024x768x32 except in 3Dmark when it switched automatically.
