A while ago I built a new rig using the Sonata II case from Antec... which comes with a 450W Smart power 2.0 power supply.

One of the features of this power supply is that the fans are controlled in relation to load and temperature.. supposedly.

Now my rig isn;t exactly high powered.. and I'm sure I'm not maxing the PSU out in any way... but I'm a little worried that I have never seen the rear exhaust fan on the PSU working. I'm pretty sure the internal fan works... at a low speed.

After a few hours of gaming the air coming out of the PSU is pretty damn hot... but the rear exhaust fan still does not kick in. The rest of my system is well cooled with two 120mm fans.

The system does run stable and there are no other problems... I run an AN8-SLI board with 3500+, 250GB HDD, DVD-RW.

Am I just paranoid... or should I RMA that sucker?

I have read about this somewhere else but I can't remember where or what the solution is. Have you tried doing a search in google?

Think there may be a little switch that turns that fan on irc but don't qoute me on that.

Sorry I couldnt be of more help.
