Hey guys,
I've decided to go in for a full WC kit (not custom yet)...
So I thought this looked very good..
Swiftech H20-120 Premium CPU Liquid Cooling Kit (http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/swh2licokitr1.html)
Anybody used it here ?
Is this performance decent enough for the price cause it looks really neat..
Thanks for the help !

Apogee. BAD.
I dont get it, whats so good about kits? Its just like getting your own stuff, except the stuff isnt as good. Sorry, i just dont get it. I went custom straight away.

Well you see I stay in India. We nobody sells kits in India leave alone customs parts.
So I'm ordering from Sidewinder, and those morons are chargin $35 for shipping alone. I ordered an XP-90 long back from them and the shipping was fast.
Atleast with a kit I can keep costs down, (don't wanna spend more than $220) plus the rad is very compact.
What's wrong with Apogee ? The reviews sounds pretty good..

I still havent seen any real test data regarding the apogee.
In any case, compared to a storm or mp-05 le its not very good at all. The same base is using in the MCW60 which is a great GPU waterblock. But its not up to scratch for a CPU block.
If you really want to save on shipping, you could order everything from http://swiftnets.com/ (MPC655, Storm, MCW60, MCR220) or from http://www.cooltechnica.com/ (MP-05 LE, 50Z, MP-1, BIP II). Or get smaller rads and skip the GPU blocks.

Naa, I'm not getting a GPU block at all. I have an nV Silencer ready for my 7900GT when it arrives so I'll keep it on air (keeping the card at stock).
The MCP350 included looks nice man.
Man the Storm is too expensive at $90, $40 more than Apogee. Really can't afford it (maybe next kit)..

Cooltechnica does, not sure about swiftnets.
Id get my stuff from cooltechnica when they get Black Ice Pro Is in stock, if i were you. MP-05 Pro LE with delrin plates, 50Z, BIP I, 7/16 Masterkleer, a Panaflo (and run it @ 7v) and a few clamps. Buy some Distilled Water locally, youre set.

hey crediki, have u ever tested apogee or even touched it? all the time i see you belittling apogee! considering that price its very good block! with polished copper side on cpu with ihs it performs great! for ppl with no such a money its good choice!

This is not mediocresystems.org. If you want to talk about "decent" or "acceptable" watercooling, this is not the right place.

ok! :) thats right!
and lets talk only bout fx60s, quad sli systems and ln cooling! :)

You know what im talking about. The apogee is identical in nearly every way to the MCW60, bar a stepping the base plate and ofc the different top plate.
The MCW60 is a great block - expecially in the bundle with the MCR14 ramsinks.
The Apogee is *not* a very good block, when you can get DD TDX, MP-05 Pro, Extreme and LE, and the Storm, on a broad spectrum of prices.
You could argue that it would be a good block for an ultra-silent system with some anemic pump, but then youd be better off with a scythe ninja - cheaper, just as effective and quieter.

^^ Ok guys please lets start getting more constructive here ;)
@ creidiki - Thanks so much m8 for your suggestions :) I hope you understand that right now only Apogee fits into my budget.
What about the quality of the remaining kit components ?
The tubing, pump, reservoir, rad, etc ? Upto the mark for a single core CPU (maybe DC later) without GPU/Chipset..

The MCR rads are absolutely great. Everything else is just meh. The bog standard DDC-1 (PCP350) pump with side inlet is anemic, reservoirs are counterproductive to performance (and that res in particular tends to leak) and the apogee is just not very good.
's allright if youre on a limited budget i guess, but i could make a much better kit with 220$.
MP-05 Pro - 55$
OR
MP-05 Pro LE - 65$
50Z - 75$
MRC120 - 35$
7/16 masterkleer, clamps, t-piece, odds & ends - 20$
185$ to 205$.
