I had received an x850pro AGP earlier today and tested it to make sure it works, and it did.
I also made sure to test the XT/PE speeds with ATI tool. No atrifacts in 10 min or so...
Then I flashed it to XT/PE anyway (even though ATI tool said pipes are unlockable) just to see if I could get lucky maybe. After the flash, the card would not boot. The screen went blank, the fan spins up and stops.
I somehow got it to boot to DOS, re-flashed it with the original bios, and the same thing happens (can't post)...
It can't be the flash, can it? It only posts occasionally, and I can get to BIOS but once I reboot, it's all over
EDIT: I just came back from my friend's, we tested it there on his dual xeon system and it works flawlessly. We even flashed it to XT bios with no hiccups whatsoever. THen I come back here and stick it in, and the same problem occurs...
