Call of Duty is a little better MP wise due to you have health instead of GET DOWN you've been hit, REHEAL! Then go back at it...

I would say:
Single Player:
- HL2
- FEAR
- Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (FPS RPG that will release March 20th)
- Quake4
- You could also try Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfare, which will release March 9th on PC.
It's a 3rd person/1st person shooter strategy army game. Looks nice, and the X360 version got a >90% score on several reviews
Multy Player:
- CSS
- DoDS
- FEAR
* I havent played CoD2 online, so cant recommend it :p:
Games to get in the future:
- UT2k7
- Gears of War
- Pray
- Huxley
I didnt put BF2 on the MP list, because I personally dont enjoy playing it that much :(
The engine is too buggy, recoil is total BS (IMO), n00bs steal the good vehicles (which take forever to respawn) and you're left off walking on those huge maps vulnerable to vehicle attacks, the same maps get repettitive quick, and EA hasnt released a SDK :slapass:

Both campaigns are kick a**, two is long, but it dosen't get reptetive. I once went from 12 hours of beating Call of Duty 2 to 4 hours of beating Call of Duty
America's Army... Best online fps and it's free.
...If you can buy any FPS it is better than America's Army

You definitely have to enjoy single player to want to like any game in the Elder Scrolls series. As a fan of it I will tell you Morrowind was probably the best game I have ever played. Great graphics, atleast 100+ hours of content and the game was so HUGE. Oblivion definitely is looking like a game of the year especially with their new Radiant AI system.

I think it is definitely worth it, but I love those kinda games, it has real no repetiveness, well I mean yes you do quests a lot but they usually have a great variety so it does not feel like you are doing the same thing over and over again.

America's Army... Best online fps and it's free.
No Drill is that nice or well spoken.. lol
BF2 is like crack but it's a resource hog with no widescreen support.
DoD:Source is awesome - it's a solid FPS. The maps are all improved. The recoil onthe weapons now is rediculous. lol do more then a 3 rnd burst and your looking at the ceiling.
An older game but a kickass one is Combined Arms: Escalation it's the sequal to Typhoon rising. Supports up to 150 people on one server. it's an older game though 2004 but still holds it's own. The kits you can makeare pretty open ended like FireArms HalfLife was. You can have a shotgun + M4 etc with a flakvest or satchel charges. I like versatillity in the classes and Combined offers that and BF2 doesn't though it's far prettier. heh

Unfortunately the PC version (which will be far, far better than the xbox 360 version - (different game stratagies and 1st person instead of Over The Shoulder view) was delayed (numerous times) again the other day and now wont be out untill at least May :(
But definately grab it when it's out. It's gonna make Bf2 and the likes look like a childs game. :toast:

...If you can buy any FPS it is better than America's Army
Perhaps I should have been more specific, just like you. 'Best' and 'better' are subjective ofcourse.
America's Army is a realistic, team based FPS with good match and league oppurtunities. The fact that it is realistic (no shooting while jumping, getting tired, realistic power of the guns) makes it a good game. Add the fact that there are very frequent patches with added maps and features and also completely new engines (Unreal engine 2.5, 3.0) you would be crazy not to try this free game.
Ofcourse there are things that are a pain in the ass, like some bugs that havent been fixed for many versions and perhaps some changes to the gameplay that not all players like. But all in all I would say if youre in a nice team (clan) and put some time in learning the different maps youre in for a big new addiction. ;)
Just download and see, you dont have to drop € 50,- on a game you might not like. :)

I got HL2 with a vid card awhile back and lost the key. Just to much hassle to get another so I will play all these great games for quite awhile. I found Splinter cell on another forum for 10 bucks and Picked up a brand new COD for 14.99 and fear for 40. So not bad at all for 3 top shelf games. Started with COD and will be playing it for alooong time. Luv this game. thank you all for recommending it.

When I first played CoD, I was hooked. and ended up playing through all levels. If you think Cod sounds great with the Z680's, ...you're gonna love CoD2. Both are real good in a LAN party. the more the better, lol.
