:) Nice Link. Tried it?
How much LN2 di I need to cool my CPU 4 one run?

Dual Channel DDR seems 2 be good 4 AMD and Intel!:)

Nature ain't bugged :)

Very nice score he put up there...that score's screamin to be taken down by an AMD :D

OMG, the guy is using TwinMOS Pc3200!!!

I knew that stuff was good, but i never knew it was top 3D bench in the world good!

I was thinking the same thing :D

wonder if 3 GHz TBred would be enough :-\

Gobbo : its dual-channel, the memory doesnt need to be all that good ... it has to run only 183 MHz remember

Yes, amazing bandwith with low clock.

any 'Bugs' in this one??

Actually it's a crappy nature score, hmmm... I wonder

Duh! sorry did'nt notice it was a granite bay mobo!

But yeah, a 3ghz Tbred should jsut about take that score down!
Don't look a buggy score, Holicho is a good benchmarker, jsut not quite as good as our own JC and Opp!

Thats what I noticed too.... He says his Radeon is at 513/371... You would think Natures FPS would be alot higher then that.. Its only 1 FPS higher then mine at 465/371..

maby he ran out of ln2 :D

I agree with this. Looking at the clock speeds of his card (513/371) and a 600Mhz oc compared to my 2.8Ghz, I beat his nature score by 5fps. Strange.
And certainly crappy compared to your nature score, Hiwayman. :D

But still, one helluva score. It's gonna be difficult to beat it.
Difficult but not impossible.

My Nature seems to have come down a bit, lately........ well it should keep people happy anyway.;)

I believe the Nature is low because he played it down so he wouldn't get a bug to be on the safe side, I don't think he wanted to here any crap on this one:D

How do you get the 'bug', or how do you do it??

Holicho never heard any crap about his nature bug.
That is unless you speak and write in japanese.
He is a super PI fanatic thats his bag. You wont catch him here or at any american site forums. Once in awhile he throws up a score as a buyproduct of being bored with pi. Then he will leave for another month or so:)
Viva la LN2
If you need it use it:)

Exactly my thoughts, he should have hit 150+ easily @ his Clocks. He may have a extra 200-300 points on backup.

nah not really m8.... nature test is too dependant on card memory to hit 150. The system speed is not really making a difference, I could knock my system back 400 MHz and still get the same nature score. 371 simply isnt enough memory speed to get to 150. Imho he should have had 145-146 to be "normal"

Hiwayman

Yep yer prolly rite JC. For some reason (lack of sleep) I read it as higer mem oc (391?), 371 seems very low......

Actually I just spotted it! I was looking @ your compare (391 with 150fps for nature) and assumed it would be his minimum.

SpicyHuevos
02-04-2003, 07:29 AM
actually there is a point when the core speed actually hurts nature as well:)
Its just finding the right combo of speeds that gives you the best nature. With mem being the more important of the two of course.
I got a 148 @500/370.
when i tried at 525/370 it went to like 142
Would seem like not enough mem speed but if it gets into a funk it just flows like buttter.

JCviggen
02-04-2003, 07:36 AM
maybe 520/390 would go better :D (i'll give it a try)

SpicyHuevos
02-04-2003, 07:40 AM
you do that sport:)
As for me im done with 2001 its pointless;)
Been doing other things instead:P

Spicy,

funny thing with that P4 3.06 .... used to bench at 4.15 GHz no problem... I then sent it to its owner which now borrowed it back to me, but whatever he did to the chip wasnt good. It will auto rehoot right after the BIOS screen at anything past 4 GHz, the highest I can get "stable" now is like 3.7-3.8 GHz and it seems to get worse every day
Never thought an AMD chip would actually prove more robust than an Intel...

SpicyHuevos
02-04-2003, 07:47 AM
Thats what happens when you add to much volts over long periods jc:(
There not more robust
It's just how you treat your stuff.
Maybe your friend got a little happy with voltage settings once or twice in an attempt to overclock it?
And are you not on a different motherboard then before?

hey every body keeps saying he used dual channel ddr but the pics in the other thred shows a single channel configuration? so whats up any one know ?

docyt, I see 2 memory chips installed in the correct banks for DC operation.

i thought dual channel was one of each color, like one in the orange and one in the black or is it deferent than the nforce2 boards? it clearly looks like the colors and space between the two sets of dimmslots indicate each is a different channel although i could very posibly be wrong :)

edit/ok im wrong i just downloaded the owners manual and looked at the dc setup and actualy i kinda like how the gb is set up campaired to the nf2
