I have an X850XT PE AGP card, and it recently ceased to function. My system had fried on me (mobo and cpu), so I had new parts on the bench with everything working. I moved the parts into the case (which is a VapoChill) and when I powered the system on, I got a message on the screen telling me I did not plug in the power plug for the card. It was plugged in however, and I tried different plugs. I even tried a different powersupply. Ive tried an Allied 500watt, Ultra x-connect 500watt, and a PC Power & Cooling 510 Deluxe. Im currently running two power supplies, one to power the vapochill system, and one to power the computer itself.
Im not exactly sure who makes the card. It has Sapphire stickers on it, but its got ATi part numbers. Ive been in contact with Sapphire and they refuse to help me since the card was a refurb, and they dont make refurb cards. I bought it off of newegg, and they cant do anything for me, and they cant even tell me who refurbed the card. Ive only owned the card for 3 months, and in that time, its been in operation for about 3 weeks.
Ive seen this issue with the PCI-E sapphire cards due to the power adapter cable that was defective, but this is AGP so it uses a standard molex connector.
Any help is appreciated. I refuse to believe the card died...
