I beg to differ! In northern Italy they have some of the most beautiful natural blondes with very white skin!

I'm ONLY 15, so untravled would be the correct word. I'm german and I'm very white (except for my arms which have been burnt alot). I never thought ITALIANS had blonde hair, more like brown. I thought like germans, austrians, danes and a few others were known for blonde hair, but italians??

Ahh, I wasn't aware you were only 15! You speak much older.;) .When I first saw the women in northern Italy I was amazed. You really would think they and the ladies in southern Italy are from 1000's of miles apart. If I remember right, wasn't it Hannibal that conquered Italy by coming over the mountains with elephants? And Hannibals army was from the Goth's I beleive who had there base in close to what is now Germany. I'm guessing there was a bit of mixing of the gene pool and we see it today in the different skin tones and other features. Correct me if any of that is wrong, the history part is just from memory and the last time I was in a school was probably before your parents were born.:p:
God do I feel old all of a sudden!:(

Thats basically right. Hannibal was born in carthage in northern africa. He crossed the pyrenes and alps (only one of two people to cross the alps for a military campaign, other one was napolean;) ) to take over the romans. He had no seige military, so he couldnt take the city Rome, but defeated alot of towns that were allied with Rome. Rome sent an army to carthage and he was forced to return. When he arrived, he was beaten by Scipio, later renamed Scipio africanus (meant ruler/conquerer of Africa or something). I guess there was some rape/pillaging in those southern Italy which lead to the huge skin difference. Sorry for the OT & Happy birthday gpcola.
