So i set ATi tool to display the 3d model for 12 hrs to test some stability. I come back this morning, and its still going. oc settings are 1.45/2.0/2.0/1.45 700/800 on an XT. These settings are been working well for about a week. When i came home, the gpu was @ 49C and the vreg chips were 69C. I pull up fear, and play for about 20 mins, and i get a crash.... wtf..? reboot, let is sit for 20 mins. come back, load up my 700/800 oc, open fear, and BAM frozen at the option screen. WTF?!?!? reboot, keep it @ 500/600 and am able to run the fear test demo. Does that seem possible to kill the oc potential from running for 12 hrs???? but never seeing more than 49C.

That doesn't sound like a video card issue. Because if it was the video card, something, it wouldn't just crash or reboot (it could hang up the system, or show artifacts).
I suggest you try another PSU.

yea i wouldn't worry about your card, it could be the system. You would usually get artifacts or vpu recover errors if it was the video card. The fact that it was still running strong when you came back to it shows the card is capable of handling it. Your voltage and overclock is far from extreme as well as a temp of 49c is extremely low for these cards, I seriously doubt any damage would be done at that!

well now i have another set of problems. I swapped an air cooler in place of my cpu block, set the voltage to 1.52, and 2720mhz, and after about 30 seconds in windows the system turned off. I did notice that my cpu voltage mosfets were really hot. I tried to turn it back on, and it it would come on for 1/2 wsecond then cut off... if i tried it again right after that it'd power on, but the mobo would display an "FF" error, saying something is truely uber busted. While it was on i check voltage and normaly at post the voltage reads 12.4v, now it was 11.8. If i unplugged the 4 pin 12v plug the psu would power on,but no mobo boot.
But the psu booted with an old p3 system and voltage read 12.05v ..... I'm going to try and get a another psu to see if my a64 will atleat boot. im so far i've killed this pcp&c twice... this may make a 3rd, in the past 6 months. Im going to look for something else.

Did you install any drivers/programs prior to the videocardtest?

I've noticed you have a pelt, check the back of your mobo and check the traces around the cpu. I was having the same problem awhile back with my P4C800E Deluxe and it turned out to be condensation around the cpu. Just something to think about.

No drivers no programs. Thing is right now the system wont POST. So software is out of the picture.
I pulled the pelt off a week ago, just running water @ 38c. Less heat in the loop for the 1900xt.
A co-worker is going to let me borrow his old psu tonight.. we'll see tomorrow.
