My new asus board went bonkers and i had to install my old dfi lanparty ut sli-dr.
Installed a new aopty 165. The bios temp readings are low, yet smartguarding and smartfan both read the cpu temp as high as 70c. No crashes, the water is cool too :)

Any idea whats up ?

dont trust the temps that are read by the mobo, they are allways out by up to 15C higher or lower than what is shown.

The only half accurate way of reading the cpu's temp is to place an external diode on the side of the cpu core, but still that will be out.
