Well, I like the small footprint of this little monitoring tool, but after awhile..... the standard layout and color just getting old and kinda BORING!! so few days ago I'd decided to take a few minutes to tweaked a little, result was pretty good, I'd only changed the interface and nothing else being touch (sensor value and such) and I like the improved GUI better now ;) quite a few people saw my screenie and asked about it, well..instead of sending a bunch of emails or PM I might as well just post it for y'all.

It's very simple to mod, all settings are in the smart.ini file within the smart guardian folder, open it and search for (and rename) both tags "dfi ut sli-dr blah blah blah" and "the something overclocker" to whatever you want. For CPU, PWMIC, CHIPSET, CPU FAN, RAM FAN, CHIPSET FAN, and the rest of the tags, you can rename those to whatever you want. Color scheme can be change as well, dig up the "color=" and there's a color code associated with it, here's a list of color coding to get you going:

red: 255
yellow: 65535
electric blue: 16776960
magenta: 16711935
tan: 8943581
purple: 15548255

If you're handy with photoshop, the color scheme for the LANPARTY logo can be change with the "fill" tool (icon look like a painting bucket), just magnify the logo and edit away. once you're done then save and exit, re-launch smartguardian and you're done!! :D

I'd attached my version for those who like what I did to it, just download the attachment, make sure you close your smartguardian first, then extract and replace everything in C:\Program Files\ITE\Smart Guardian folder, re-launch your smartguardian and voila! :D

And Finally, for those who take your time to edit your own version, if you don't mind please share your result(s). ;)

note: there's a compensation tag for all the voltages, for Expert mobo owner you might found it useful to change or add a couple degree for the cpu temp to bring it up to the closer value that you knew before, I haven't gotten around to play with the compensation yet but it is there if you needed it.

Very nice. Your coloring pretty much matches the logo on the monitor when the computer boots.

You guys use WAY too much *bling bling* ;) I went the opposite way along with some minor changes like adjusting the rails according to my multimeter. Had some crazy ideas but I scrapped them since I don't use SG anymore. Plain old MBM5 is just fine for me :p:

So can I set the compensation number to -256 so SmartGuardian will give me a temperature value closer to the REAL value? (as opposed to 200 = -56C)

Yo Steve, sorry for the late reply...didn't read this thread till now  I'm still trying to figure out how to compensate the temperature but if I found a way to do it I'll report back.

I thought I'd add my version. It's pretty stripped down but if anyone still has a 250gb I can get them a copy of the config files.
