Ok guys, so i got the hyundai L90D+ and a XFX 7800GTX.. at the back of the monitor, it has a DVI out connection (female) and at the back of my video card there is also DVI in connection (female)...

Both of these female connectors look slightly different...The one on my monitor has "three rows of 8 holes (24 holes) and no holes above or below the flat hole".. The one of my video card has "three rows of 8 holes (24 holes) and two holes above and below the flat hole".

Ok, so here is my question:

1) Do i find a DVI cable that has a male connector on both sides that fills ALL the holes in both my monitor or video card? Or do i find a DVI cable with less pins but can still fit in most of the holes on both my monitor and my video card? I hope i made this clear. If not ask me.

2)Does a DVI cable really improve the image displayed on the monitor? Is it even noticeable?

Thanks for all your help guys, appreciate it.

Your monitor has a DVI-D (No holes above or below blade) female connection. Your video card has 2 holes above and below the blade so that it will support both DVI-D and DVI-I (has the 4 holes around the blade). Your monitor will REQUIRE a DVI-D cable. I can tell a difference between digital DVI-D and analog VGA I don't know if I can explain it, but my eyes see it.

Do a search on google regarding DVI connection types for a better description of what each type of DVI is capable of.
