It's a 90 watt that I got for $3 + shipping. I later bought two more because of the great price. Here's mine running off my custom power supply I made. It's being cooled by an Intel Xeon server cpu heatsink and a 120mm Papst fan. It took about 5 minutes to make this heat sink frost up like this. The heat sink is normally black.

thanks mario that is what I needed to here!! I see your post else where but I couldn't remember how long it takes to frost up!! I have a tec and when I put it on my new amd 64 3200 I went into cmos at boot up and it had me running 39C I didn't know if I just didn't have it seated on the cpu right or not! I took it off. I started running it thought I would take a frost pic seems how I never remember! I went in to take a shower and heck it still was not frosted up! I think my tec died on me! it still gets cold but not cold enough to frost! I found 2 cracks on either side of the tec, so I broke the one side on off and resoldered the red connector still the same. Any one have any ideas on if I can fix it!??

You might've cracked the peltier when mounting it on your processor somehow, the problem is once you break a peltier, there isn't much you can do if it is cracked. I would imagine something is wrong as mine frosts quite easily. I took a picture once mine reached the lowest temp. Yours should at least frost.
Edit: That's F on the thermometer, it works out to be -18.1 in celcius.

rev do you think I could make the tec I have start working again! I think it is just the corner that is cracked someHonestly, I have no clue. . . . But they're really not that much to just replace it. Thermal Enterprises on ebay (http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZthermalenterprises) has them for $7-$20.

As far as getting frosting, it really depends on the relative humidity in the air. For example, over the summer here in chicago, it was a few seconds before i had frost. With in 5 minutes it was a very thick layer of frost.
Yet in the dead of winter, i had barely a thin layer of frost after 30 minutes.
