View Full Version : Rosetta on a dual cpu rig?

Ive installed this and I am having troubles getting it to fully use the dual cpu system I have here.
So, what do I need to do?

What dual do you have? I have it on 3-dual xeon systems, 2 P4 and one P3 and no issues..If you have hyperthreading turn it on and Rosetta should do 4 work units at a time showing 25%to each in task manager..

if you can't get it to utilize both your CPU's, you probably need to go login @ the R@H page and under general preferences change the "On multiprocessors, use at most" options to 2 if you have an AMD DC rig, and maybe 4 if you have an intel with HT

It is an older machine in comparison to what most are running these days.
It's an MSI K7D Master-L with 2 1700+XP's modded into MP's with a 14 multi.
So, no HT or dual cores or any of that special new stuff. Just good ol' fashioned dual cpu system. ;) lol

I already set that on the rose page, use up to two cpus thing, did that during the install stages.
Hmm, odd, seems to have loaded the 2nd string overnight. Guess I just presumed since it hadnt loaded right off it wasnt going to.

Sorry guys, just a bit used to F@H I gather.

Seems all good now though.
