now that just makes me feel bad....how fast is it?

its doing 700 more dhrystone than my stupid 2.55 venice:(

btw, anyone know that the whetstone is for a 2.7+ chip with 300mhz TCCD????just wondering

Put back together an XP-M IQYHA system I had disassembled a while back.

I was hoping to use the Coolemaster ATCS case that this system was in for an A64 system I had put together. Turns out there wasn't enough room for the beefier PSU the A64 required. I'm just now getting it backup and put together. Had to do a friggin fresh OS install as I had swiped HDD's out of the original setup.

Anyway, backup and crunching, now for DCManiak@XS.

There's just no keeping up with you...

Go serlv, GO! <--- think of the 'Speed Racer' song when saying that....

Just trying to get a production buffer. I know that other dually, you haven't put together, is coming online any day.

I'm actually running a lot less PC's then I was before my electrical mishap. Just that three of 'em are dual cores.

nice servl :D
Good to know that my sempron with crappy ram is as fast as your 3500+ :)
At what speed is your axp-m running? Something close to 2.5ghz? Too bad I had to use my utt for the Opteron. Otherwise the axpm would still run at 250*10 in a shuttle barebone :)

Nice to see your close to full speed Serlv. Any chance we can get you to run DIMES on some of those rigs?? Uses 0 cpu power and runs well with other projects.

close to full speed
who said that? :D

Not sure how many I'll end up running. My power bill was insane last year so I know I won't be running as many. I'll probably end up with 10-12 total.

I'm a little leary of my ISP and they're limits.

Yeah, those Semprons are friggin Screaming Mimis.

The Barton was over 2500, now it is a little under 2500. The machine spent the first 5 1/2 hours spitting out computation errors, until I noticed it. Temps are great, everything is otherwise fine. But Rosetta didn't like something. So I turned it down a tad. Still tuning it.

What kind of VDIMM was needed for 250 on your shuttle? You did a mod?

Whose your ISP??? I have optimum and I have ~6 and sometimes more instances of DIMES running and they havent said a word. Haltech has FIOS, and Jeff had time warner. I dont think any of them really care.

Regarding running DIMES, Cox no likey DIMES here in Vegas. I tried running it and kept getting my speed backed down or losing connection continuously :(

I've some friends on other forums, who've run in to problems with cox and dimes. That's why I've been hesitant. Was going to PM you about it to clarify. Thanks for your input.

Well it took me a bit of work to get 250fsb running. Temps were really high under load without mods. About 72C at 1.7v 2500mhz.
I didnt want to mod it in the first place, but the board died 3 days after i got it and had to send it in which took 3 weeks. After that I didnt use it for 3 months. Then I got the axpm and decided to use it again, but found out that the onboard sound wasnt working and shuttle wrote many emails back, but it didnt help. I didnt want to send it in again, so I decided to do some crazy mods ^ ^. First of all I cut the rear fan grill off, added another 80mm fan on the back, 2 40mm fans on the psu side to cool the mosfets, got the 250W silentx psu, did a vdimm mod, did a drivecage mod, so the ram was cooled by a 80mm zalman and the hdd was cooled by it as well and when I had the mobo out I lapped the NB, which took me almost 3 days, damn ceramique ;), put a Thermanright NB-1C with a delta on it. After that I was able to run 250*10 with 1.71V. 250fsb was teh max of the mobo, I never tried clockgen, but I dont think I would have gotten any higher, because the memcontroller was at its limits already. Didnt make a difference witha vdimm of 3.2v and 3.7v. Was running CH5-UTT at 3.2v 24/7. Was quite funny to have a 250mhz fsb barebone, but the 9 fans in that little case made it quite loud, which is why I removed almost all of em and put a 120mm in the back to make a multimedia rig out of it. Running 2476mhz right now witha fsb of 216mhz, because I had to use the utt for the opteron rig. But now its really silent. Will have to fine tune it a bit and install rosetta on it again :)
