I need a decent replacement. I want something software volt moddable and that should be a sceamer of an overclocker under water. I'm considering 256MB GTX's, PE flashed X1800XT's, X1800XL's, 7800GT's, and just today I checked out the EVGA 6800GS SuperClocked CO edition with a 490mhz core and 1100mhz gddr3 memory. It's only $190 online and I bet it'd be fun to overclock. I have like $350 max to spend, what would you guys get?

That is completely understandable. You got bored cos your rig is boring. Sell the ultra d and grab an RD580 and if you still have money left over, wait for the X1800GTO for $249.
People are still ocing X800GTO2s well into the 7k level.

I'm grabbing the DFI RD580 as soon as they are available. I'm kinda leaning towards having an nvidia card though for a change.

Only problem with that is the new Nvidia cards don't have any voltage options through software (except for the 7800GTs which have a measly .06-.1V bios flash option). I'm not sure about the 6800GS though.

Yea, anyone know the tweaking/voltage options available through software for 6800GS's?

I know you want a software adjustable board and prolly a better performer but I just picked up a 6600nonGT w/ ddr1. Could have a lil fun going for the top but I'm sure you'd like something with more power.

I want something special mainly. Something top of it's class. I almost grabbed an Asus EN/TOP6600GT that I found online, but they wanted $220 for it. Ripoff when you can get the phenominal evga 6800GS CO edition that I talked about above for $30 less.
Anyway, I think I'm getting a connect3d X1800XL for cheap used.

X1800Xl cards are excellent and it's very fun to play with them:D
My x1800xl is clocked from default clocks of 500/1.0ghz to 680 and 1.5ghz all on air with voltages adjusted from the software and breaking 10k easily on 3dmark05.
I would highly recommend one:)

Yeah I think the x1800XL have a huge OC margin. Much larger than a lot of video cards, especially if you get 1.4ns RAM. That ram can go to 800MHz on air and the core can go as high as 700MHz (vs the 500MHz stock  ).
Requires much tweaking and fiddling.

I'm getting mine barely used for $280. Never overclocked. A virgin waiting for me is so sexy... ;)
