I bought G.skill's 1x1gb stick of HX ram on newegg's website i couldnt afford 2gb.

Anyway the ram overclocks to DDR500 or 250mhz using 3-3-2-6-1t. No amount of tweaking of my knowledge can get it go any higher. I got my 250mhz goal but kinda disapointed that it wont go higher.

My question tho is I wanted to pair this stick with a 512mb stick that overclocks better then itself so i could have 1512mb until i buy another stick. Now when i stick that memory in the system only reported 512mb. I swapped DIMM's around and diff spots ect and it reported 1gb 512mb, ect but not 1512mb. I tried a diff 512mb stick @ stock pc3200 speeds same thing.

Now when i pair those 2 512mb together without the G.skill the mobo reports the correct amount of ram.

Do these 1gb sticks from G.skill not work with a 512mb stick of memory paird with it. Or is it something else ?

i am not sure dual channel + single channel will work or not in NF3, will check with other member
also 250 is good on NF3 :)

Im not trying to get due lchannle and single channle. S754 is single channle.

I put a 512mb ADATA stick in which overclocks better then the g.skill just to have 1.5gb of ram.

Now problem is when i put that stick in my system its reporting only 512mb not 1.5gb. I swap the ADATA and G.skill in diff spots and then it reports 1GB. OR512mb again. It wont report the full amount of ram.

I take my G.skill out and put another 512mb stick in with the other one and it works fine reporting the correct amount of ram. It like the G.skill wont work with other types of ram.

Also im having a problem reaching 250mhz stable. I can get 240mhz Game styable and memtest stable i think but whe ni get to 250mhz no matter what i try it wont get stable for anything besides a few memory benchmarks and memtest. I get artifacts i ngames @ 250mhz.

Here is what im using, i tried even raising the timmings to 3-4-4-8-2t nothing works. I tried using 2.5to 2.8v and it wont help.

S754 is hard to reach higher FSB is due to its design

and you might wanna ask DFi tech no me about why two module will not work together! or you can said ADATA doesn't like to work with other memory lol

Well I mean 240mhz isnt bad. Ill be forced to run @ 2400mhz, or change my HTT to 278x9 for 2500mhz, then set the memory divider to 166 the ram will be running @ 232mhz. Kinda disapointing.

I wish i could sqeaze the thing to run @ 250mhz.

No the ADATA works fine with mixed brands of ram like i said i tried 2 other brands mixed even with 3 sticks and it reads the right amount of memory. Its the G.skill ram.

I doubt its the motherboard but i asked this question on a DFI forum.

Btw my ADATA overclocks to 280mhz 1:1. The board can overclock this G.skill ram just wont work @ 250mhz. Is there anything i could change with my A64 tweaker settings that you could suggest ?
