A bit old yes, but I didn't see it posted before so...
Nvidia Corp. along with its partners among the makers of laptops may be gearing up to release portable computers featuring two graphics processing units (GPUs) working in multi-GPU tandem to achieve unbelievable performance. The introduction of such machines will allow portable computers to outperform even the high-end desktops in games.

Wouldn't that sort of be completely counter to the very concept of mobile computers? lol

no thank you, I prefer to have my laptop battery last more than 5 minutes even if it means a few less frames per second in Doom3

We wrote about Nvidia SLI notebook ages ago, but Nvidia just officially confirmed that they exist and we found out that the British company Rock actually ships one with a saucy price that starts at £1999 pounds.

Nvidia did mention some new Notebook chipsets based on Nforce 4 and they should start shipping rather soon.

Looks cool. :slobber:

1 hour 45 min is ok battery life, since you probably didn't buy this notebook for it's battery life anyway.

what is the point of it though, its a 19" monitor so its obviously not very portable; and when you factor in the SLI setup along with CPU and huge LCD, battery life has to be so terrible that its even less portable. so if your going to sit at home with it why not spend 50% less and get 200% more in performance?

I think its funny the banner in original post that says "what is SLI 80% faster!" lol

that is rediculous.. a 19" monitor built into that thing ... that laptop is more powerful than my computer AND has the same size screen..

new meaning to DTR... its not a dekstop comptuer replacement.. its just a desk replacement!

Can't imagine what the geniuses at camp n will come up with next - wait, yes I can. QUAD SLI for laptops. I can just see the advertising:

"Your battery will run out of power and you'll be deaf before you boot into Windows!!!!"

That's not a good ad.

Do you all know how much this beast weighs? I read about this is a magazine recently. 15+ Pounds. Not exactly portable. It would be a beastly desltop replacement though, as long as you could plug it in where ever you are.
