"DDRII DIMM" :p:
You know... "DDR II" is actually printed on the motherboard... check this picture (lower right corner)

Well I think their logic is if it ain't broke don't fix it..

heheheh you're killing me dude
lol ddr2 vs ddr3 still going on?
It clearly says DDR II. Which dumass would block one I under a DIMM slot or most probably a dumass wants to think one is there.... And that line does not corresspond to the printed "DDR II" properly.
Arn't AMD/Intel still arguing if DDR3 can be pin compatable with DDR2? Are there any DDR3 modules even available to testers/engineers?
I seriously doubt that.

quiet you ! Please watch the language, GMX ;) No one in this thread has been disrespected, so do reply in a civil manner...
Interestingly enough, memory manufacs are holding out on the transition to more LL (low latency) products in their product lines until AM2 hits...just check Newegg....not a single LL kit for under $200.

Anyone else think its kinda weird that theyre using nf4 for am2?
perkam

Very true...It should've been NF5..
One more reason to stay 939...and I know ATI's ddr2 motherboard chipsets arent coming too nicely either.

the real AM2 = 2007. One more reason to stay 939?

Not really considering that both M2 and s939 use the exact some HTT.. with maybe just a little bit of speed difference...

the real AM2 = 2007. One more reason to stay 939?That would be like saying the real R5xx = 2006 after the X1800XT was losing out to the GTX 512....it doesnt hold up for people who want a system that will last them at least a year or so without upgrading.

At least it's 4-phase. But I hate Epox's ATX power placement. Then again, if it makes for cleaner power to the cpu, I'd live with it.

Oh and just a side note for everyone.. The pin signals for DDR2 and DDR3 are identical.. the only thing being decided is the Pin order...

Yes and no. They are pin compatable but the ROM table is not and that would require a new pin out.
