Im using a Biostar Tforce6100-939 flashed to the latest bios, and I can't for the life of me get this board to POST at 300htt. I mean 290-295 works fine, but at 300 it won't POST. I set the LDT multiplier to 2x and still won't POST. I tried lowering my cpu multi, same thing it won't POST at 300htt. But from what I have seen people who have this board, getting over 300htt wasn't a problem. I wonder if anyone else here who has this mobo and is able to get over 300htt would like to share what they did in the BIOS. Im thinking about playing with the NB -> SB speed links and all that, but it probably won't do anything and I wouldn't know where to start with that hehe.

Let me see if I understand this right.. you are expecting a Bottom of the Barrel Budget Board to Support 300Htt.. My question for you is what are you on and do you have anymore?

perhaps you should educate yourself about this board before coming up with a piss poor reply like that, sorry I don't follow the masses and waste twice as much coin to get a DFI, been there done that, I want to try something new which you're probably afraid of doing, and heard good overclocking results from the Tforce boards.

ok I'll bite.. we'll play it your way.. drop your CPU multi to 5x
your Htt Multi to 1x and drop in the largest divider you have like 100/200 if possible..
Crank your CPU, memory and Chipset voltage as high as it will go ..
if that wont do it.. it doubt that it is possible

Latest bios, load optimized defaults. Then set voltages as needed,100 or 133 memory divider and LDT at 3x. Also disable everything that is not needed. If you can't get 300 then you are unlucky.

What RAM do you have and which slots are you using?

Wow! Did someone hit you with a stupid stick? :slapass: Grow up. Incase you've missed the last 4 months,this BioStar board has turned into being one hell of a good overclocker for the money.

Drozdov,I don't have the 939 board,but there is around 37 pages of Q&A over at the [H] forums. You might find what your looking for in there somewhere. http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=963584&page=25&pp=20 I wouldn't mess too much with the NB -> SB speeds though,I did and didn't have much luck. Another thing,I think both the 754 and 939 boards use the same bios,so you might try the cr51mb02 bios found here. http://www.biostar.com.tw/t-series/download/bios_details.php?id=1
This bios seemed to work the best for me,and give me my highest overclocks.

Yes, board is good for the money but I like Expert more. Ofcourse it costs 3x more but hey, need to push hardware to limits :D

yeah been reading through that, too bad the modded bios only takes out the splash screen...would be more useful if it did more than that. ANyways im gonna switch out the RAM slots to 2 and 4 and see if it helps.

my opt 144 is running @ 335x9, air cooled, vcore @ 1.80v in bios, 1.57 in windows. i am using latest bios b02 i think. make sure that your north bridge and south bridge are getting good cooling. this well really help your oc. my ram is 2x512mb pqi turbo tccd, running on 5/6 divider. i have had this board since the beginning of october(watch out for new rev boards - they have bad nic) and hit over 300htt with a 3500 winny, 3800 x2, 144, 148 and 165 optys. i leave my ldt multi at auto. this does not seem to be a factor in htt at all. my fsb is reported as 4x335x2= 2480mhz. this board is not as sensitive to ldt multis as a dfi or asus. look elsewhere. mine took very little effort. gave it enough volts, reboot, and bing. my ram is set at 2/3/3/7 1t, everything else on auto.
check out the sff forum on hardforums. practically the entire forum is about this board for the last 3 or 4 months.
good luck. the config for my mce2005 sff;

Hey calm down you two! He already said he's taking it easy and he's trying to help. There is no need for creating unnecessary tension.
I'm curious about these boards too and I need some education. We just ordered one for a friend of mine as a part of a budget PC. So, thanks for the links.
