This means no external connector between the cards which means its gonna have to use a bridge. I am hoping that Crossfire won't lose its efficiency in terms of performance (I mean now it kicks ass at very high AA modes).

So the new 80nm... I hope they mean the x1800GTO

Maybe its a tiny bridge between the cards outside of the case still?

There is no way you are going to fit 2xDVI ports and an Svideo variant port and a bridge port on the back of a PCI-E card.

On another note, they might stick it in the rear of the cards?

The new 7900GT dual cards have the bridge from the inside side of the pcb....so the cards are like they have stucked......!!!!

ATi may use the same method!

The ATI X1300 and X1600 do not need a master card and do not use any sort of physical connections other than the normal PCI-Express slots. There is plenty of bandwidth in PCI-Express 16x lanes for future cards to not need a dedicated sli/crossfire connection.

Yes I am aware of that, but this will apply to future video cards; low and high end. ATi has some of the best engineers in the world. I am sure they have considered a lot of possibilities (as well as tested) ;)
