Crucial Technology's PC2-6400 has memory timings specified at 4-4-4-12 at speeds of DDR2-800. The other memory kit that Crucial sent along for testing was their PC2-5300, rated at DDR2-667 speeds with lower latency timings of 3-3-3-12.

Looks good!
This is good too
More information about the new Micron memory chips will be available shortly. Other competing manufacturers such as Corsair and OCZ Technology will be able to source the same IC's and be competitive in the DDR2 marketplace. Look for this to occur by early March.
I am so excited for AM2/Conroe, its gonna be fun

i honestly don't see anywhere in there where they actually pushed the sticks. a real letdown if you ask me. though i could have just read over it. i like the normal anandtech memory reviews more :(

wow what a terrible review
is that even a review?
should have called it a comparison of DDR2 speed vs. latency
they didnt even overclock them wtf?

to be exact, they didn't even do rated speeds for the ddr2-800 sticks from what i could see :slapass:

:with: Agreed.. that was freaking pathetic for a review

i think you guys either cannot read or your retarted lol
seriously they showed them runing up to 1400mhz in that review and showed the best timings at different speeds the sticks do?
you should read and not just look at the pretty graphs lol cmon guys
edit: you guys were right i saw the fsb and got confused

no you smuck they showed the Bus running at 1361.84mhz but the ram was just running at 340.46mhz.. far from impressive.. and they didn't even attempt at cranking it...:fact:

show me where you see that. the highest screenshot i see is at 350mhz.
if you look at this page
http://www.anandtech.com/memory/showdoc.aspx?i=2700&p=9
they say something about 1402mhz (which is the effective fsb speed), but that's not the speed of the ram, unless you're willing to believe that it's pulling off 3-2-3 timings at 701mhz :stick:
edit to make my statement more clear ;)

edit - you guys all took care of it, i need to refresh more lol, anyways, ive found another problem, if that really is fatbody D9 (which it is) then it should have been able to run 3-2-2... were they just to scared to put any volts in?

Thats fsb which is quad pumped.
Read yourself before slashing.

I know I double checked.. and if they truely were D9 they should have gotten far better timings at lower speeds..

D9 is no longer in production, so they couldnt

BH5 is out of production but you can still find some sticks

mmmmmm.. but the whole premise of this is that the ballistix have the "replacement" chips ;)

yeah i guess, i have some bh5 left over.
Yes they are a replacemnt and they already have a competitor.

lol micron owns crucial.
look in the review, the sticks even say D9 on them.

Thats the old D9 Fatties.
This is the new Micron, check the build date.
Loves the voltage but doesnt run 3-2-2-x at high speeds.

The new Elpida is pretty nice, my only complaint is that Elpida does not play nive with other memory.
The new Infineon is 2.5ns for the 800Mhz part.

Roasting them more like it.. add 0.1V to that can just call them DDR :p:

These are at 2.2 volts. I am not sure how much volts is safe to put through these? I Ran a 32m at 4.3.2.4 at 400mhz but didn't take a screen.

Is that D9, from what i hear 2.3 is a good safe voltage, but im no expert, so get a second opinion!!
