I think i have some weird problems with my Opteron 144 CABYE 0536GMPW. When the processor is overclocked to 2.7GHz @ 1.51V everything's fine but as soon as i raise the HTT higher up to 2.8GHz, i begin to have graphics artifacts (white silhuetes) in 3D games (e.g. America's Army, 3DMark01, ...). These artifacts are not being detected by artifact testing tools (e.g. ATiTool, ...)
I have already tried raising the Vcore voltage up to 1.68V, Vldt up to 1.5V and Vdd up to 1.7V, but it didn't helped a bit. The system is stable at this speed, can loop 3DMark % S&M torture test for houres... I've also tried to lower the Vgpu voltage back to the default 1.48V on my X850XT.

Graphics drivers are official Catalyst 6.1 /w ATi Tray Tools, chipset drivers are nVidia nF4 AMD 6.70 WHQL.

My system specifications are the same as mentioned in my signature. I've also tried the system on my Antec TruePower430W as well as on the new LCPower6550 rev2.0.

What HTT multi are you using ? 3x or 4x?

Also did you try lowering your OC on the gpu ?

Hi Major!

I am using 3x HTT multi, also tried 2.5x... Lowering GPU and RAM speed doesn't help :(

Did you try lower the multiplier to check the your highest HTT/CPU clock??:)

Not yet, 9x is my highest multiplier and going higher with HTT just make thing's worse. I'll try 8x311 now to see if it's any better.

Too much overclock to CPU (san diego) will cause artifacts ;)

Really? Crap! :( Damn, my neighboor has the same CPU (we bought it together), same batch, we have almost exactly the same serial numbers (only differs by last number) - his goes 2.9GHz (322x9 1.61V) withouth any artifacts. He have the same mobo, graphics card, hell - even the casing :).
