uhh lol looks excessive. Just AS5 the stock cooler, mine never breaks 45c.

... And how would the video card fit? My cooler never breaks 40c...

I run SLI and my chipset temps skyrocket especially if I up the volts. I have put a 120mm fan on it and it helped a lot (like 10 degrees), but on my first Expert (RIP) I put AS5 on and I never saw a difference. I'm about to WC my chipset so hopefully I'll see some decent temps w/ volts.

That thing is excessive and monstorous.

It can't be excessive if it doesn't cool well, and by the results, it's not a whole lot better than stock.

I didn't even bother to remove my last DFI hsf unit on my Expert to put AS5 on there. My temps rarely get about 40c even fully loaded, overclocked, with 2 GTXs in SLI. I have a small case fan blowing across the area and that seem to do the trick. I doubt high chipset temps are holding too many folks back. But, that's just my opinion.

hmm i put as5 on mine with that chipset cooler that was recommended on here .. temps still hit high 40s though

Personally, I don't feel the need to change it. All my runs were made with the stock cooler + yellow thermal material. :)

They have it nmounted different then the maker of the cooler. The heatpipe should actually be pointed towards us in the picture and for performance compared to the CoolerMaster cooler it ran 3C-4C cooler with room for sli unlike the CM one. The Heatpipe can also be titled up to 45*

and if you actually use the search button you will find.. it isn't that freaking amazing..

When I said excessive I meant the design is not reasonable.

The ChipSet Cooler..:fact:
The CM one or the one above? From everything I have seen on the cooler it is very nice. And that is excluding all of the above.

Perfect combination for someone who has a single card with an Arctic Silencer. Where can I order one :-D.

i choose vantec iceberg 4(non-pro)+AS 5 instead...for $15 bucks
Not to mention i can still using the sli without a problem...

Second that. Or the Revoltec one:

Same goes to some Evercool 'Twinkling VGA cooler' that FCG pointed out once.. they're bascially all the same thing and do a good job on the chipset.

Not to mention i can still using the sli without a problem... I like the Vantec Iceberg "classic" for $10 (http://www.jab-tech.com/product.php?productid=1529) but only used them when I was taking off the chipset fan anyway to do the SLI mod. My Expert has the stock cooler and its not hot. mdzcpa is right about a little bit of air flow being a bigger factor.

Thats not a knock on the TJS0005. More choices is usually a good thing. I'm wondering if the reviewers tried to :banana::banana::banana: the cooler at an different angle on the DFI board so both SLI and the SATA plugs could still be used.

I installed the JTS0005 on a DFI SLI-DR Expert board but notice that a possible SLI setup will be a issue seeing the cooler is mounted right behind the second PCIe slot. I could turn it 45 degrees around ccw so that its mounted in between the two PCIe slots but then it covers my nVraid connectors, which make them useless.

Stock dfi fan is just loud, I'm using an NB47+8cm low rpm fan but if that JTS performs good at low rpm's I'll get it.
Silence is important for someone :)

I find the stock cooler noisy as hell. Even on 50% rpms...

Temperature is pretty bad comparing with dimensions of a cooler (I have that with my mod passive) I use this
