-= TOPIC SOLVED =- You may still submit your own thoughts, cast your vote etc, but I've already decided on the Premium!

Hey! I just noticed there is both an ASUS A8N-SLI DELUXE and an ASUS A8N-SLI PREMIUM version of the non-A8N32 (please keep A8N32 out of this) regular A8N. Which one is "better" and what are the differences? (Ignore cost differences.) Placing order ASAP!

Sorry, for making another thread, but I need the answer ASAP.

Well the obvious differences are in cooling and I believe some slight layout changes. Most importantly, however, are the changes in how the board overclocks and the bios options available, which are both far superior to the Deluxe.

The only difference I can spot myself is the Premium version has passive cooling but the Deluxe version has active cooling (and I really want the passive heat pipe cooling!). What differences can you spot / know of?

Anyway, here are the links:

I'm definitely getting the Premium now.

Sorry for double posting, I wasn't aware of your reply until after submitting my own.

Deluxe is the old version.. it has problems running 230-240+ HTT 1T and the chipset fan is noisy. IE 8000RPM noisy. Also the fan is of poor quality and tend to fail. If your lucky it´ll only start screeming.

The Premium is an improved version. Very few has reported problems regarding overclocking with 1T timing.
The chipset cooler is a neat heatpipe thing, silent as can be.

I´ve had both, and the answer is quite simple; Go for the Premium :)

You might notice there is also no selecter card for the SLI, its done through the BIOS (which requires more onboard switches), and raises the cost.
