Hi all, can someone explain how I can test my new ram for bad chips using memtest? I ran memtest86 1.51 for 10 hours. Just wondering if that's enough to test my ram.

Use memtest86+
http://www.memtest.org/

But for real testing I'd suggest
SuperPi 32M
12 or 24h memtest
12 or 24h blend prime test

And to finish 3dmark05/06 in loop 12h

If your RAM survives this then it is sure good :D

I would highly suggest using Windows Memtest (http://hcidesign.com/memtest/). I ussually only test for three hours in Memtest86+ and then run Windows Memtest until it reaches 5000%.
