Ok for the past 3 runs now. When 3dmark05 finishes. It always resets to stock settings of 500/600. I have tried different ways to load settings in their to 760/850 but every time it finishes 3dmark I see my score is low and when I check ATItool its back to 500/600 every time. what is going on? why cannot I get it to run at the settings I choose, any ideas I would aprecieate greatly.

what does that have to do with any thing, it keeps going back to 500/600 I said, my 3dmark score is default as if I did no over clocking when I oc. not to mention I disabled the ATI services so it should also no be my 3d clocks.

I am not sure why but I am getting a worse score with higher clocks, doing nothing different then increasing volts on core, and Mhz on core/mem. I dropped 500pts when I should have went up about 50-100 in my last test im confused.

How are you disabling the services?

i also face the same problem, i got 19400 in 3dmark03 when oc using CCC @ 689/797 but when i follow the step to oc using OC tools, i got 17k :P
i disabled the services using msconfig..
and i cant set the core clock to 689 correctly using OC tools. when i set to 690 (i typed it and not using the up button) it automatically set it to 550mhz :(

Got the same only once, a reboot fixed it.

i disabled the services using msconfig..

Thats your problem. The Service itself is set for automatic startup. msconfig will work to disable it at startup but the service remains able to start itself (automatic) and will do so. You must disable it via Services Manager and re-boot.
