I have attempted to unlock the extra pipelines on my XFX 6800GS. It gets bad artifacting when the extra four are unlocked in Rivatuner, no matter the driver. Is there any way to unlock the extra pipelines seperately or in pairs rather than in fours? The extra last bit of performance would be great.

They work in quads, or groups of fours, so no.

your partially wrong. the pci-e doesnt as its newer core on 110nm. but the agp does and its nv40 130nm.
Fragment Pipelines: 12 (16)
Vertex Pipelines: 5 (6)
Texture Units: 12 (16)

So the AGP GS is a 6800nu with gddr3?

So the AGP GS is a 6800nu with gddr3?
essentially yes.
so as the agp version might not clock as well being 130nm, it has the extra unlockable pipes.
while the pci-e version is newer core on 110nm so it most likely cooler and clock higher, but no pipes to be unlocked.
i wonder what would be more ideal keeping everything else constant? somebody gotta test :stick:
EDIT: stock clocks of 6800nu is 325/700, stock clocks of agp 6800gs 350/1000, so i guess its more like a GT with disabled pipes.
