I have a ecs ks75a and an xp1700 ... the computer wont boot at all now. I got it to boot once after it started giving problems and now it wont boot at all

It doesnt even post to the bios now. The monitor says no vga connection. When it did post, it would 8 beeps and according to an ecs forum, 8 consecutive beeps means a bad video card. I replaced the video card with another and the same thing ... no post. The reset button doesnt even work, only the power button works

I took out the HDs, the optical drives and had only the video card, mb, cpu and it would not post

I was thinking it could be a psu issue but I dont know, what do you think. If it is, it would save alot

Well normally there wouldn't be enough information in that post to tell anything important.. But considering you said ECS board.. Odds are that is the problem...

Well, to test if it's your PSU, follow the directions on this link (stolen from MaxxxRacers liquid cooling guide):

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=43616&stc=1&d=1140245716

If you can connect those two pins on your connector and your PSU does NOT start, then congrat's, you've found it. If it does start, it could still be intermittent PSU issues, but that's not as likely.

Personally, my bet is the motherboard. (sorry)
