I got my 9700pro the week it came out so it was most likely the first batch. I have had it in 4 comps through out its life and in every single one the images in 3dmark and other games looked like turning pages in a flip book. Scores were alway fine but i could see something like paning lines on images. Hard to explain. Dragothic was the worst and it makes me think bad about ATI. Is it only my card? And has anyone heard of this?

Is this OC'd? I've not seen anything like that to date.

it is oced but happens when not oced as well. In dragothic its most noticable. Its a horizontal line (but made of the image not a distinct solid color) that goes from bottom to top of screen every 3sec or so. I wish i would have bought it at a normal store and not some half assed dude on e-bay.

I know what your talking about and I get it too on my 9500pro. I have no idea if its normal or if its not but I thought I would confirm that your not insane.:D

I forced 75hz refresh (max on my lcd monitor) and it went away. All apps work besides bf1942. I had problems with bf not allowing all resolution but now with refresh set high its just screwed.

I've heard that BF only likes 60hz

That seems to be very trye. Funny thing is I can't install my Samsung drivers couse bf will throw out all high resolutions and leave me with 800*600.... I heard of bf having a refresh option in the videon menue but i never saw it.

LCD = 60Hz optimal refresh rate

you're on a LCD...

that answers your problem..

your LCD's response time isn't "good enough" :p

My 19in ctr monitor with 85hz refresh did the same thing. Now with 75 on the lcd using digital is not that obvious but still there. Whats wrong with BF?

Any input on Samsung SyncMaster 172t LCD? Something cool i found is a 200pt increase using digital in 3dmark vs analog (tried the lcd and crt for analog)

touch the back of your card. does it feel hot? if so, then the heatsink has little to no contact with the GPU. work on cooling if the back of the card is over 50°C

its watercooled so the back isn't even warm to the touch. I'm putting on a 80w tec on it this week.
