Who sells what???

Ok, I'm struggling here to make sense of who sells what and how you go about getting evaporator blocks, condensors etc.

From reading lots and lots of posts some magic names appear:

kayl
chilly1
pc ice - although comes up as banned in the members list.


Now I know chilly1 has a website and it's under construction at the moment for various reasons.

So if you will be kind enough to state your handle, country, website (if any) and some idea of what you sell - that would be great.

Since you're in New Zealand, I think kayl would be your best choice as he is very close so that means low shipping costs and probably no import charges either.

using someone local to you has thie benifits. As far as the PC Ice and being banned?? Not sure there.. I do know he makes units and parts and sends them to europe and Asian countries even to Austrailia. He has other forums he resides in like XR and OCX. Im pretty sure Chilly ships as well. but dont know for sure.

There are 3 main websites I know of for phase-change parts by forum members:

www.under-the-ice.com - sells basically all parts at good prices, i buy from here a lot. run by runmc.

www.pc-ice-cooling.com - sells complete units, single stages, cascades, graphics card coolers. all top quality, best temperatures. also sells some parts, most notably complete evaporators, fully assembled. in my opinion, pc ice makes the best stuff there is, so if you want a complete unit or an evap, this is your store.

www.chilly1.com - this is, of course Chilly1's website. If I remember correctly there is a huge inventory with lots of top-quality components. It seems to be down right now, but there are many ways to contact chilly1 if you want to buy from him. I have made a few parts purchases from chilly in the past and it's been very easy.

Others have mentioned Kayl as being a good source for you. I definately agree there as well. I haven't personally bought anything from Kayl but he seems to make some great units and his evaps look good too.

another site I have used for parts is www.rparts.com it's not run by a forum member though, so i encourage you to use one of the sites that is.

aussieguy2000 has a online shop (austalia supplier), its still in construction though, but in time will be sponsoring OCAU and be selling all phase chage parts as need.

Im all out of evaps currently, but in a few weeks will be getting 30+ cnc revision 3 kayl evaps and 25 GPu evaps. Currently as a combo kayl evap and enclosure is the cheapest.:toast: on the market.
There is also a 20% discount on 5+ plus orders.

Besides the fact I have NO issues with a person asking for what something is worth, Espcially if they are the best at what they do.. I would rather see inovation and quality and performance increases..

I can also tell you that its a low performance unit..Not even worth the money spent. I bet that to get any real decent(not great) you would have to mod the hell out of one. They have way small pump and temps under load would be that like water cooling provides. you get what you pay for here. If i want SS or Cascade cooling I want performance that the particular cooling should deliver. I want - 57 @ Idle and -48 at load on an ss unit and Cascade should be -100 and loaded veryclose to -90-ish.. Not what water temp cooling would provide or just near 0 degrees. To me thats not money wisely spent. But thats just what I prefer.

Really its best not to push the price too low, as it makes it harder for new comers to start making their own evap design and systems in local areas.
Ya cant beat the cost of a square evap though (do it ya self, or an end cap evap)

postage is the biggest killer really when it comes to buying stuff.

thats cool, ii guess with the pound and all buying a house in Melb would be as cheap as chips. i remember when i went to Uk everything was so damb expensive. ya know that houses in perth are as low as 1/3 the price of house in Melbourne

I know we can work out the problems and move on. Sad to loose good people over stupid things.
