The sad truth is that any retard with the money can buy cool toys and complain that they don't overclock that well.. AND that is starting to bug the hell out of me...

It's not that I am a retard it's that I don't have experience with overclocking, bios, and all that good stuff. Just because I am learning doesnt mean that I am a retard. Today was my first reformat that I ever did so I guess its a good start:p:

then were you lying in that other topic? you said you reformated...

No I wasnt lying about the other topic, on the other topic I pressed R "repair" when I was installating and it went much faster. It didnt work though it just deleted all my desktop icons and stupid me thought that it cleared the all the programs but when I went into c:/program files/...... all my programs were still installed.:slapass:

yeah, windows repair is a nice option. it basically reinstalls every windows file while keeping your registry files and system32 folder. this is nice so you don't have to reinstall all your programs if a .sys file is messed up. however this is not the same thing as a reformat. a reformat completly wipes your entire hard drive and reformats the file system on your hard to fat32 or ntfs (the better of the two), there are more file systems than just that but those are the most common for today.
and yeah, i wouldn't consider you a retard either, you're just learning, you'll get there someday.

first thing you need to do before you even attempt to overclock is lock your PCI and PCIe clocks.. If you don't your just going to shoot yourself in the ass

Alright how do I lock the PCI clock? Is there a tutorial on overclocking?

we if you increase the FSB in Bios it normally locks the Clock in DFI/MSI boards.. I am not sure about ASUS.. and here is a good starter link.. READ IT ALL TWICE..
