What motherboard will you be running the Yonah on? Can't wait to see the results! Air results would be nice too, although that might be asking too much, seeing what you usually do those poor cpus:)

AOpen i975Xa-YDG should be more or less ok.

There are also Gigabyte and Asus boards based on 945 chipset but they are crap.

@fugger,

what i would like to know is how the yonah compares againts the pressler in multi threaded applications.
from what we have seen it's very fast at 1m pi but will the 667 fsb and 2mb cache leave it lagging.
i ask this becuase i am waiting like a lot of others here for the aopen board but i do have a p5wd2-e and pressler 920d @ 4200 300fsb on loan from work until i get the aopen. It's mainly going to be used for video editing and my apps are multi threaded and the system is performing very nice.

i am sure i can get it stable @ 4500 but need to droop mod it and this would mean i have to keep it as i could not just bring it back when i have yonah/aopen.

so please include some multi threaded bench tests so i can see how they compare.

780ES @ 2.26ghz
T2600ES @ 2.13ghz

T2600 ES = 2.16Ghz...just a small correction.

I don't know any t1600. There is one core solo T1300 cpu but that's it. Core duo is better ofcourse

i945 is like a KT266, no proper locks, just one bunch of crap :( It's so bad Yonah doesn't have great (and not $300 aopen quality) boards :(

Sorry but Im abit lost lol.

Whats a Yonah when its at home? Is it like a Dothan? What FSB, Cache etc ? Are they better than 780 Dothan ES? Dont follow Intel that much btw.

Thanks.

Its pretty much a dual cpu dothan :)

Only instead of having 2 dothan dies each with 2mb cache they share the 2mb cache between the 2 cores. And they run at 166fsb.

I can't wait :D

Waus-mod
02-14-2006, 11:45 AM
It runs 166x13 = 2158mhz i assume.. defenitly 166 fsb instead of 133 with dothan.

edit: late post

Thanks for the info mate :toast:

You think it can do some damage on 3D Mark?

Is it still skt478? Using an adapater like normal Dothans?

Well, there's around half a dozen of PRTeamJapan waiting on FCG's 2600 ES Yonahs so probably they do not have the cpu's yet ;)
