Tell me if that think it could be worth a shot, i will use my old r12 compressor, and spend the money on a new compressor for my single stage, the money i save from buying a vac pump will go into a new compressor...

What ya guys think?

Using a seris of service valves of corse..

EDIT: mayby coil the discharge liune up to stop the oil leaking?

Bump!!

need to save some money.... is it a good idea to use as a vac?

If you say yes, what kinda guage should i put in the system, to minitor the vacuum. i understand there are special guages.

Anybody know if this would pull a vaccuum?

I posted the compressor on here before, but i decided to get a new one for my ss and use this as a vaccuum.

its a small compressor, im just wondering if i left it long enuf if it would pull a good vaccuum over some time. i know its not going to be as fast as a real vac pump... but hey its a free alternative.

Any ideas?

Not sure if it will pull the moisture out I have seen two of compressors in series being used as a vac pump

it should work jst get a nice hot fan heater and aim it at your piping and condenser whilst its pulling a vac and all the moisture will boil off just leave it going for a while oh and tripple vac:)
