Just finished building the following setup:
840EE on water / P5WD2-E / 2GB Mushkin XP2-5300 / PCP&C 850 / EVGA 7800GT

Now after setting up the memory timings to manufacturere settings, I went straight up to 250FSB at 1.5V (droops to as low as 1.37V). NB is at 1.5V and SB at 1.05V and everything else is at auto settings. Save and exited the BIOS. Here's the thing, as soon as I press enter to restart, instead of one continous loop of restart it instead turns itself off for about 2 seconds and restarts after that. Except for the droop, everythings runnin fine with four instances of Prime95 for a 100% load for close to 24 hours now.

Anybody experienced anything like this? Is it even normal?

Yes, the P5WD2 boards do this.

Mine only does that when I pass certain points.
244 fsb, 274, 293, 304, 331, and 361 seem to do it for me. The rest of the time its fine.

I've tried both P5WD2-P / -E and they always do that to me, or at least, almost everytime, also i had'em always OC'ed over 266fsb... :D

Yup, that's exactly what my -P and -E boards do as well. Really an annoying "feature", especially when you pair it up with a Mach II cooling system....:slapass:

Does the Gigabyte 975x motherboard have the same problem?

If yes, is it as bad or is it still better?
