Well guys this summer I plan on rebuilding my system, I am sticking with ATI but no bias towards Intel or AMD. Any benchmarks comparing CrossFire on Intel vs AMD?

Can't really bencharmk comparisons... Depends on cpu, mobo, ram and such. Currently i'd say amd still has the lead in benching until intels conroe comes around. Then we may see a turn in the tables.

I know that aopen is releasing a board for the yonah based off of the 975 chipset. this is supposed to run Xfire quite well.
however, the board isnt released until march sometime. i would have to think that this will be an awsome setup.

If you are comfortable with Intel, then its going to be cheaper too...Conroe will debu under $300 and the intel chipset supporting it should be cf compatible.
Might I suggest you wait it out for the actual crossfire...seeing as drivers havent matured yet. I would get a good XTX along with a Conroe config and wait for drivers to mature for cf before jumping in.
Heck, if you can get a good watercooling system instead of going cf, then you get a 14k 05 24/7 system on a single card cos of the power of one XTX.
As a testament to its power, a max clocked single XTX scores the same in GT1 3dmark05 as two fully maxxed GTX512MBs in SLI.
