Well, I want to get a brand new boxed 955XE (non ES). Can you tell me if this processor has unlocked multiplier, please?
If you have one, could you please post a CPU-Z screenie?

Mine does (but it's an ES)

I think that if the 955xe is a ES yes, multi unlock, but if it isnt ES, the multi is lock no?
if you buy this cpu, good lock with the OC ;)

I believe all dual core extreme editions have unlocked multipliers, whether ES or not.

I'm soooo looking forward to moving back to Intel. Gonna save up the bucks and get a Conroe EE and just up the multi like theres no tomorrow :D

Nope, the regular 955XE's are unlocked, too.
