Accordnig to mfg. spec it is rated down to 100 below (fahrenheit). Currently I am using the same hose in a car for nitrous oxide. (we all know that stuff gets cold :D) so i know it handles cold for a while not sure about continuously, it's fairly flexible, and the store i was looking at has it with "S.A.E. 37 and 45 degree fittings".

Anyone? I jsut need to know if the teflon iner lining is going to hold up pretty much. it\s rated to -100, but thats a 5-10 second burst of nitrous oxide, not 24/7 40 below? Any help would be appreciated.

If it hasnt got a metal core then I doubt it would be suitable. You'd probably be better off just ordering some stainless steel flex hose from chilly1. That's where I got mine.

bump. jsut wondering if anyone has tried it, I rmeber seeing some people using units w/ a lined suction line, can't rember who it was, I'm very tempted to use it as it's perfect for the applications, and it is rated for use with an extremely cold gas

Old time cascader builder used such tubing I think. I see no reason why it would be bad if it is rated for such temps granted you don't try to flex things when cold.
they leak after some time afaik, try to find the rvs hose:)

@ Jort: What is RVS hose? sorry, not familiar with the acronym.
@ Jinu: Yea, thats pretty much what I thought, as the teflon coated inner lining freezes, it will lose some of it's elastic properties, or, they will at least be diminished, the vibrations should be minimal, and I have no intention of moving the suction line once in place, especially not while it's running, or cold.

RVS is dutch for stainless steel :)
The teflon could get brittle after a certain period of usage and that aint a good thing.

my fav are the all copper flex hoses, they are hard to find but the best for refrigeration usage
... oh they more expensive also :p:

Cheaper than stainless steel flex actually. I know few around S. Cal that manufactures them at decent price in small quantity.
