Got a mach 1 that I bought a few years ago. Been running great until just about last september. Then I started to get random odd error E4 which according the manual states a state of overheat. The whole system then would shut down.

Well in the course of researching and tinkering I discovered that its not overheating, it super cools just fine but there is some sort of sensor that is faulty.

I had the mach 1 running stand alone for about 1/2 hour just a couple days ago and it super frosted no problems.

Does anyone know for sure what sensor this is and perhaps where it is? I have been told it might be on some grey wire and that by replacing it with a 10k resistor I could bypass the reporting system and still use it to supercool.

Since my intention is to shortly upgrade to a brand new system, operton based I really would like to be able to use my mach 1 instead of going back to air. Thanks in advance!

i think it's the sensor in the intake condensor, mine's do the same :slapass:

well i found this thread

If I follow the logic correctly I can bypass the sensor(??), set my system so that it turns on around -10C and it should do the trick
