I have a set of 2x256mb i bought last year and havent used in a while. while testing a mainboard a grabbed a stick and put it in and tried to boot, and got a very strange screen - dfi bootblock - your device does not work - and then went to an a: prompt. which is unusual, since i didnt have a floppy. i tried a another stick of tccd (pqi turbo) and it boot up fine. so i tested both the la sticks on a biostar tforce 6100, an evga nf41 and my ultra d and got results from "memory not found" beep codes to screens with thousands of little colored squares. once in a while 1 or both will boot into windows for a minute or so, but only at 200mhz. anything higher, at any timings, 1t or 2t, the bios screen freezes at the mem test. these sticks used to work great, in fact they are in the 300+mhz data base on this forum at cas2.5 311mhz. they were stored in the package they came in which was in a large anti stat bag. i bought them as ddr300, so i guess this is a good reason for an rma?

edit g.skill tech, does g.skill still manufacture these stix?

very truly yours,
