AWHHH COME ON! I've a mortgage to deal with and bills, and you bring this to the table, gonna have to go sell blood on ebay or something :p: Hmmmm this is looking to be a good board tho, theres hoping Aopen have kept to their word and actually released an enthusiasts mobo this time with overclocking potential. It does look promising from this angle :toast:

The board will cost ~$300 in Japan, at least for now.
As for EU, i got an answer from Aopen that they will be available from March.

someone said here that EU price will be €220.. that's ~ $260 i think.
and usually in US and in EU the prices are the same.. the numbers :P currency is of course different.
so i wouldn't be so surprised if US price would be $220.
after all, in Japan, prices are higher than in US and europe..

ok thats a bit better. Please let us know if you get anymore info.

Yes and no. Asus's board sucks, the only real competiton this board might have is DFI's board, which was shown at ces iirc, but we havent heard anything about it since, so it might be vaporware like their i915 dothan board is. Gigabyte's board should be better than asus's one, and those are the only three we know of for sure. ECS also announced an i975 yonah board, but has kept silent since.

It's all waiting untill the 15th.

And don't make assumptions about the price. It's not going to be a cheap board, but we don't know any hard numbers.

300$ is just unrealistic, in EU that would be €300 and that is just sick

Around 220€ would be max for such board imo

is it true it will have a remote control that can be used to adjust the fsb.
i cant remeber where i saw this but if it's true i hope it's only on a special version and not all of them it would be a cool trick but a wast of money at the end of the day.

kiwi

That is useless, fsb adjustment in bios and windows is enough.

At $300 I would be more interested in joining a group boycott.;)

I'd try it if it had more SATAII headers on the board. I could not live without SATAII on my Hitachis :)

Why do you say that ASUS is bad? ECS I thought ECS was really really bad for OCing. I can deal with GigaByte, I have been happy with their boards. Do they have one comming up? The Aopen seems nice, but we dont know how well it OCs..

Any news for Asus Yonah MB? Maybe cheaper and more oc choice (really don't need SLI or crossfire).
