Finnaly got my X2 3800+ up and folding.

My 2.8c is off as a loner, and i bought a 3800+ early december with an ASrock mobo.

Gave me nothing but problems, failed priming after about every 5 hours even at stock settings.

So i tried folding but it would crash every few hours so i kept getting WU's sent back and such.

Anyways i ended up buying a sapphire Pure innovation grouper board.

right now im holding down the fort at stock settings, but this cpu is capable of 2.65 easy on this board, along with 2 gigs of memory thats do 265 1:1 :D

I'm waiting on a newer bios for this as there is a vcore error with the current one that scares me. after that i'm just trying to figure out my max temps with it, its naked and ive got a big typhoon on it but it still hits 36c stock dual folding.

Congrats on getting most of your issues resolved. When you say it's capable of '2.65 easy', have you actually hit that yet, or are you basing that on what others are hitting?

i can hit 2.75 stable, but things get too hot to run that 24/7, i can bench at 2.8.

2.65 is a nice cool spot for me. but im still ironing it out.
