This afternoon I was installing some new Kingston RAM on my DFI Lanparty Ultra-D, and I noticed some dust so decided to give it a clean. I vacuum cleaned it and fitted the RAM, and now nothing happens when i try to power it up.
First i thought it might be the power button since it had always been a little fiddly, so i de-assembled it and tried using the power button on the board, still no effect. There's a orange LED glowing, which AFAIK is just to show that power is on(standby).
I'm afraid i've killed it with static electricity while vacuum cleaning.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Look at it closely...maybe you knocked off a capacitor or resistor.

same as what happen to my board whicih i send for rma.
was burning in a pair of winbond utt at high volt with active cooling ofcus :D
when reboot, it refuse to start up , the dram led does not light up, therefore as seen in my rig. NF4-D rma-ing, pair of winbond utt died.

i would suggest to plug your old ram and try another power supply to make sure wheter it's motherboard problem or not

Good news, I tryed using this method:
. Put a single stick in the Orange slot furtherest from the cpu. With ALL power off to power supply.
2. Clear CMOS exactly as outlined below.
Here is the 'official' DFI way of clearing the CMOS:
1. pull power *A/C Power from wall outlet*.
2. pull battery
3. clear cmos jumper to pins 2 and 3 for minimum of 30-60 seconds *For Real troublesome systems use 8 hours*.
4. replace cmos jumper to normal position pins 1 and 2.
5. replace battery
6. replace power *A/C Power from wall outlet*.
7. boot to bios and load optimized defaults
And it booted again, with one stick. When i now try to put a stick in the closest slot to the CPU, i get no video and about 1-1.5sec beeps with about 2 secs delay. Guess that means some sort of RAM error.

It seems that it doesn't like it when i put a RAM stick in the orange slot closest to the CPU.
Trying with some different settings.

Now running Dual Channel, but in yellow slots.
Is this really that much worse?
