Here is my last single stage, I made it for a guy on a french forum, he wanted to cool his whole rig, one cpu, and two 7800GTX in SLI, so I decided to make to separate systems, one for the cpu, and the other for both gpus...

The original goal was -45C on the cpu evap and -35 on both gpu evaps, with no load, no suspense here, we broke that :D

Compressors are 1/3HP, I also used cap tube on this one, and the systems are filled with R402A
GPU evaps are made with a CNC mill, what's nice is the whistle they produce when the R402 boils in them, that's how I tuned the dual evap...
The cpu evap is more classical, homemade, but quite efficient, and should hold a load easily.
Condenser was modded to receive the two systems and has 4 120mm fans on it. No shroud due to the lack of space...

The case is made out of MDF, I don't know if this can be called "wood", but it's great to absorb noise and vibrations. I painted it with a aluminium-looking spray, pictures are not looking good due to the shiny effect of this paint, actually, it's not as bad as it looks on the pics :D

Now, let's go for the pics :slobber: :

Please keep in mind that's with no load, but I hope to get -40 loaded on the cpu evap, and -30 on the gpus.

WoOt my friend, another pretty nice system

pretty nice? That's amazing. I like the 2 gpu evaps 1 hose design. Are they rigid at that distance apart from each other or can you adjust them to differenct distances?

amazing temps too, -50C for GPU

And nearly -70c for the cpu...

nice & clean build there. Great temps to!

so you have 2 compressors sharing the 1 condenser?

i have seen your build somewhere else.. and not that forum you posted a link to here... but it had a picture of how you used 1 condensor for 2 stages

You cut into the condensor and brazed it so its actually 2 condensors right?

:toast:

the gpu evaps are 6cm away from each other, but as I made a copper loop between them, it's adjustable, I'd say from 35 to 80mm...

the two compressors are sharing a condenser, but actually it's more like two condensers, I splitted the one I had in two separate circuits

martie, the system you must be takling about is my cascade, I cut a huge condenser in half, then re-brazed them together to make it more compact ;)

For sure, it won't hold any load at -68, but I re-tuned it for a -40C loaded if everything goes well :)

my friend that's marvellous!
look how that this is compact

it measures 60*30*32 cm, that's quite compact, but heavy :)
this is made for a 24/7 use, so I turned the fans to make them blow on the compressors, I don't want them to overheat in that box

Really nice work ...

Some questions : :)

1. Have You brazed the evaps in gas shield ?

2. That -68*c on cpu evap was in what vac ?

3. What is the compressors manufacterer and model ??

Regards
Peter

thanks piotr :)

brazed with CO2 as a shield gas, I don't have nitrogen anymore

that -68C was only for fun, according to a P/T chart, that should be somewhere near 0.2bar abs.

compressors are Zem/Electrolux, GL99AA model, 1/3HP
