What has been the consensus on these? I just ordered one, but I would like to see what other people have been getting. I know thees an OC thread but theres likes 2000 posts. Maybe we coud do like 165 threads, 170, etc.

i would say search through the thread, but to be honest your results could be anywhere between chalk and chesse (cheese owning of course :D ).
The best thing you can do is to not get your hopes up and wait to read the stepping, then you will be able to search the dual core opteron thread again and find a range of results (hopefully)

well if your using water cooling thats all the better, i should think you will be able to reach 2.8g, it should be even easier if you get a 0550 upmw with a good batch number, being able to reach 2.8g with low volts, but otherwise you might need 1.55+ to get prime stable.
Good luck

Well, actually >2.8Ghz prime stable is not that easy unless you have a good stepping or at least high quality water. But you should be able to get 2.7Ghz without major problems.

If so it will go back, but one more hting, are Opterons the same in games as the X2 series? I was looking at a thread here
http://techreport.com/reviews/2005q2/athlon64-x2/index.x?pg=6
that shows it being beat by the 4200 X2.
