OKAY, the big moment has come and im about to flip the switch and boot everything up on my new rig. Specs are:

DFi Lan-Party Expert
AMD Opteron 170
2x1gb OCZ Platinum RAM
1x74gb Raptor HDD
eVGA 7800GTX 256 GPU
Audigy ZS 2

Any suggestions before i do anything? Something i should look out for? Something i need to set specifically? What should my BIOS settings be for best overclocking of my 170?

Also, Iv got the Lian-Li PCV1000 case and it has front USB and Firewire ports. The connections to those, where do they go on the Expert i cant seem to find a place for them..theres a bunch

Follow the initial build process laid out here step by step... Do not skip or rush it, and you should be good to go!

and make the extra USB/Fireware/soundcard connections and install the very last things you do after everything else is stable. The front ports will connect to the USB/FW jumpers scattered around the motherboard, and the pci soundcard should be the last thing you install. (use your manual to see which is which)

OKAY, i hooked everything up and started it up. Watercooling turns on, lights and fan turn on on MOBO and my custom power button turns on the computer and lights up. BUT, my monitor doesnt have a response from anything. Its hooked up to my 7800GTX 256 and i still get the "Monitor is in Power Save Mode" screen. I reset the CMOS and tried it again. Still nothing. I then unplugged everything except the GPU and still nothing. I have a MAZE4 cooling with Zalaman RAMsinks..could i have broken something? Is it my PSU (Hiper 580W SLI) thats causing it? It powers everything else just fine

I'd suggest the DFI-street forums I sent ya to. They can probably get you up and running VERY quickly!

How many LEDs are showing on the diagnostic when it fails to boot?
