Last night I spent some time tinkering with my 2x1GB G.Skill HZ and I got it stable at 270Mhz. I saved the settings and reverted to stock speeds to install windows and set everything up. Then I loaded my settings and they memory is now failing memtest 86.
Last night I passed #5 and #8 ten times and all of the tests three times. This time I get a ton of errors just doing 1 pass of #5.
What the heck?

if it was stable once, but you reset it, then I would just go back into bios and start tweaking it, till its stable again.

You need to do a lot of loops to test stability.
Not just ten...
Start 3MHz under of No MHz that 1 loop can pass..
For you i ll start at 267.
Remember that if anything in temps changes (room, fan used/not used) will change also stability when you are at last MHz...

Yeah, having the same fun myself.
Generally being MAL/RP/DRT settings that screw me over and occasionally drive/data is set to 5/1 instead of 6/1.
