Now i realize that they are yours and you can do what you want with them, but it really saddens me when I see these boards on ebay. Saaya and I worked very hard to get them to you, and to be honest, saaya made no profit from the US boards. I only took 10 bucks per board for my time, and trust me, i spent a lot of time arranging it(working at even burger king would have been more profitable), and I'm sure saaya spent more than I did. We worked hard to get boards to you guys because that's what you wanted. We had a limited number of boards and couldnt please all of you. For every person who got a board, at least three were rejected and had to sadly walk away like children in a line on haloween when someone ran out of candy. Now when you throw our work away to make a quick buck on ebay, it just shows how much you care for the other XS members. We did this FOR YOU, not so you could make some money selling our hard work on ebay. To those of you who did sell them on ebay, i know who you are and will not waste my time with you again .

If you want to sell it, keep it in the community and don't rip people off.

The P4GD1 is socket 478 board from Asus. It uses the Intel 915P chipset and are together with the P4GPL-X the only boards that support Pentium M with the CT-479 adapter and PCI-E at the same time. When the board got popular in the community it were allready out of production and had never been sold officially in the USA.

I agree with you 1000%! I looked for 6 months for a P4GD1 before getting one from you and beleive me, I do appreciate it!
I've seen some of the one's you mentioned and wondered why they weren't offered here first. There's only one answer for that and it's greed.
I always beleived that you take care of those that take care of you and you don't screw your friends.
I'm older than most of the guys here and this I can tell you: The older you get the more friends mean and the less the $$ rules your life.
And NO, I'm not wealthy.
Again,Cirthix, you have my thanks and appreciation for getting me my P4GD1.

I mean, whom could have forseen that within 30-45 days after the arrival of P4GD1s, a much better overclocker would've been release? whom? Nobody knew about Cedar Mill nor Preslers able to do 250fsb with default-multi with the stock cooling and stock voltage? who knew that?

Props to those whom sold them and got something better and hurry to those whom still have one. Save that money for Conroe.

Remind me what this thread is contributing to the intel section again? :P On a more serious note as sevral people have pointed out, yeah within a matter of months after all this dothan power the yonah/conroe stuff is looking mighty exciting. I'll still have my P4GD1 for the time being but once that stuff goes main stream I think I'll be investing

I think the 2 guys whose posts are above this missed the point of Cirthix's post: He is pissed that Sayaa and he went through a lot of BS to get P4GD1's for the guys here that wanted them and now see them on eBay being sold for a profit and not offerred to the guys on XS..That was his point, has nothing to do with Yonah,Conroe or anything else. Those replys just are evading what he was trying to get across.

Although I never actually dealed on XS. I feel bad for Saaya, and cirthix. Being treated as a free importer. I guess greed does get the better of some XS forum members.

I completely agree Cirthix ... I plan on keeping mine and doing as much with it as I'm capable. And even if I did decide to part with it (which is unlikely), it would definitely have to stay in the community and not become a money-making endevor. You guys went through so much to make it happen for the few of us who were fortunate enough to get these rare boards. You both have my appreciation and respect.

Yeah, that really sux. Took me at least 3 months to get it myself, not from you though because Saaya said they were over. I know how hard it is to get it. I'd offer rare stuff to overclockers and XS members first.

All 4 times you used "whom" were actually situations where "who" is the correct usage (http://www.ku.edu/~edit/whom.html). Wrong about english, wrong about cpus.

I love my P4GD1 XS edition very dearly. And am extremely greatful to Saaya for putting in the hard yards to get this thing from Germany to Australia. He took no profits from the boards (lol, appart from a stack of P4GD1 user manuals and cabling to reduce package weight and shipping fees) and did this as a favour to the XS community. I do think it's a shame that any XS edition board would go sold on ebay as both Saaya & Cirthix put alot of effort into ordering, buying, and shipping the boards. The boards should stay in the community, and for the people who own an XS edition P4GD1 who plan to move on, should at least try our classifieds section before hitting ebay, Their are many members who would love to have it, and there were many who went without so we could get ours. We should all at least offer them the chance of buying the board, as their are many still looking at getting dothan systems on the CT-479 adapter who are having to settle for AGP alternatives.

I gotta admit that it is pretty shameful the way people use ebay to make a quick buck. :( Hasnt been the first or the last time. Seems like everytime somone posts a dell coupon for video cards dozens of them show up on ebay the next week at a ridiclous price.

I totally agree, I missed out as I was too late, now I am settling on a P4GPL-X when the people who were lucky enough to receive a board from cirthix and saaya are just flogging them off on ebay for ridiculous prices! only a couple of months after "wanting" them so badly. well, if you wanted them so badly and were willing to stop others who would have used the boards for longer, then why didn't you just let others have the opportunity to receive one instead of being so greedy...

What's wrong with that? They're buying to resell them. I've done it, my parents have done it, thousands of other people have done it. Dell is still making money. The P4GD1's were a profit free favor done by cirthix and saaya to benefit the community who needed a hard to find board. Other people still want them. If you are done with it and want to sell it then at least put it for sale in the forums that way other overclockers can get what they want. I know kingpin's P4GD1 is starting to crap out on him, to bad he can't get another...

I don't understand you, you disagree with him, and then agree with him later..

No... I said it's reselling stuff from dell is fine. Who does it hurt? Dell is making sales. They certainly aren't being hurt. Infact it increases their sales. The people who bought them then resell them. I don't see what's wrong with reselling. Two parties are making money there.

This is different. People here wanted some P4GD1's. Of course they can not be bought in America. So cirthix and saaya decided that they would help the community by ordering a bunch of them and selling them to XS members at no profit. Dell doesn't say "hey these people need video cards so it would be nice if we got a bunch then sold them with discounts to help them out". I know I'm not explaining this very well but it should make sense.

Dell> sells stuff and happens to have discounts. They sell stuff. That's their job. They don't care what we do with it after we buy it.

cirthix and saaya> they spent their time and likely some of their money to make no profit to help XS members get something they normally would not be able to.
