there are two things i have a question about in a64 the tweaker program for amd 64 processors.
1. drive strength, options are weak/normal. which is better? and what effect does it have?
2.idle cycle limit, options are 0/4/8/16/32/64/128/256 clks...etc, what effect does this have and is lower better?
thanks in advance.

Weak is only good for high TCCD overclocks and nothing else
Normal is what you should be using most of the time
Idle Cycle limit has a large effect on stablity.. Lower is faster but highier is more stable

well for some reason my ram is set by default on weak, i'll set it to normal... and stragely if Idle Cycle limit has a great effect on stability yet lower is better than why can i set it from default 256 to 4 and be perfectly stable...?

Because if you push it too far you will instantly crash.. hence the great effect...I never said it was a sensitive setting...
Oh and if that Ram is TCCD, leave it at Weak

i can actually place it at 0 clks and be fine, cool!

Watch your bandwidth/latency benchmarks.. mine went down about 200MB/s when set at 0 compared to 256.. 16 offered a small improvement though.
