There is a notion out there that certain UCCC week modules are better OC performers than others, so could you supply the following information

Reference (http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconductor/Support/Label_CodeInfo/DDR1.htm)

Model:
Week:
Max Stable OC:
Timings:
Any other information you want:

That is indeed true, we have somewhat of a database in this section already.

It's on the IC. Take off the heatspreader if ya wanna know what it is.

I guess no one wants to read the reference link and participate :)

I guess no one wants to read the reference link and participate :)Well, maybe because in most cases to find out IC's week-code one needs to remove heatspreaders :fact: I don't have to remind you what that equates to, do I? :) Sometimes it's possible to take a peek at the ICs and see it's production week... But only If you're REALLY determined to do so as it takes quite an effort and is not always succesful ;)

If that helps you, the G.Skill HZ I have here is based on Samsung UCCC 0537. You can find its OCing results following a link in my sig, OCing Report #2 ;)

Thanks for the link ...

The chance of getting that low week number is slim and none, isnt it ?

There might be some "special weeks" out there but I wouldn't stress too much over it. My impression is that overall the trend for UCCC production is better OCs and cheaper. Hence five companies selling PC4000 2x1gig sets and pricing as low as $200. If I had to get another set ( I want to - but know I should start boning up on DDR2 instead) I'd just get the Gskill HZ.

With the Cebit launch of the new AMD socket (and new mobos maybe just a couple months after that) it could be that production of all DDR will ratchet on down dramatically.
